About the Product

Soy Meat

Our soy meat is made from 100% Japan-grown soybeans, with no additives. It offers a mouthfeel similar to real meat, but this healthy alternative contains very little fat. Instead, it has lots of protein and fiber, and gives you all the nutrition of soybeans, including soy isoflavone, lecithin, and saponin.

Cooking Class Menu

In this cooking class a professional instructor will show you how to make the following two dishes. Due to time constraints, you'll make the first dish together with the instructor, and then watch the instructor make the second dish step by step.

1. Vegan Crispy Rice Rolls

This Vietnamese dish is traditionally filled with seasonal fresh herbs and vegetables then wrapped in rice paper. This time we baked it to make it crispy and added soy meat and lots of vegetables to make a balanced filling.

Ingredients you need to purchase and prep yourself: rice paper, coriander leaves, spring onion, carrot, shiitake mushrooms, red onion, garlic cloves, ginger, dou ban jan, soy sauce, salt, sugar, sesame oil. You are welcome to add other vegetables, too, as desired.

2. Vegan Rendang

This coconut and spice infused stew originates from Sumatra. Our recipe uses boiled potatoes and soy meat to reduce the amount of time required while being eco friendly & cost effective.

Ingredients: potatoes, coconut milk, lemongrass, salam leaves, garlic, shallots, ginger, galangal, big red chili peppers, kaffir lime leaves, cardamom, star anise, nutmeg, coriander powder, pepper, cumin powder, cloves, cinnamon powder, piper cubeba, fennel seed. (The proper amounts for the ingredients will be shared after participants are selected.)
